Raising Money for Brother Kevin

The British and Irish Trading Alliance (BITA) hosted their Christmas lunch at the Intercontinental in Dublin on the 30th November with over 170 guests from across Ireland and the UK.

The event was sponsored by Ayming, Cellcontrol and Silver Shemmings Ash and attended by the British Ambassador Robin Barnett, Lord Mayor of Dublin, Nial Ring, with Enda O’Coineen, owner of the Sunday Business Post who delivered the keynote.

BITA works to support the communities that it is a part of by encouraging trade, offering advice to growing businesses and raising money for local charities. The organisation chosen for this event was Brother Kevin’s Capuchin Day Centre, an acclaimed local charity assisting people who are homeless in Dublin – offering meals, clothing, clinics and more.

With prizes of a golf day in Kilkea Castle donated by Simply Workflow and two bottles of champagne, we raised €2,840 from our generous guests.  The donations were given to Brother Kevin in person on Monday, who was supremely touched.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors and guests for helping us raise such a great amount, contributing to the efforts of Brother Kevin and his team in continuing  their incredible work.
