BITA members do their bit to raise money for charity

In the next couple of months, members James Halligan of the Workshop Group, Vincent Dignam City of London and Dan Rosewell of Dawes & Green will get on their bikes for charity.

James Halligan Cycling in the UK for the Lighthouse Charity, Vincent who is riding in memory for his father with proceeds going to a number of charities and Dan who is riding for the Encephalitis Society both of them will finish in Paris.

These are no mean feats! James is planning to propel his 18 stone body 100 miles, up some of the steepest hills in Surrey – in approximately 7 hours. After 8 weeks of training, he hasn’t lost a pound but can now cycle over 50 kilometres without taking a break: he just needs to treble the distance and double his speed to achieve his goal and raise £4,500 in the process.

Vincent on the other hand, is riding to support the Lord Mayors Appeal, Road Peace and London Air Ambulance charities. 4 friends decided to participate in the ‘Tower to Tower’ event and the group has now grown to 19 riding to raise money for charities close to their hearts.

Dan who will also be starting off in London will be riding in the London to Paris event. Last year his sister was diagnosed with NMDA Encephalitis, after her condition was finally recognized a successful treatment and management plan has seen her make an amazing recovery. Dan will ride to raise funds for research and support for the Encephalitis Society

Both members could certainly use your encouragement so we’d really appreciate you digging deep and donating to help support these fantastic charities. If you would like to donate please follow the links provided:
